My baby boy has caught chickenpox which is common childhood illness that children catch at some point. My daughter Grace caught her chickenpox from her friend in school, which has spread to other children and my baby has now got it too.
Chickenpox tends to affect children under ten. Most children have had the infection by this age.
In older children and adults, chickenpox can be more severe.
Treating Chickenpox
There is no cure for chickenpox, and the virus usually clears up by itself, even without any treatment. However, there are some things you can do to help ease the symptoms.
Always speak to your GP before you provide your child with any kind of pain relief.
Try to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
Calamine lotion, if your child's skin is very itchy or sore, you can try this lotion, it has a soothing, cooling effect on the skin.
If you need more information, there are plenty on the web, they give more details on this symptoms that can reassure you that this virus will soon pass.
I am not an expert on this virus so check with your pharmacist or GP if you are worried, its better safe than sorry! Your child might need a medicine that is best given by the professionals.

Bills, Bills, Bills!
Have just finish re-reading the Rich Dad and Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, at a time like this we are suffering credit crunch and we now need to increased our knowledge of how our money work for us, rather than us working for our money!
There are times when I reflect on how I was brought up with little knowledge of how to spend and invest my money. I made the mistake which a lot of us has done of getting credit cards, store cards and before I knew it I was up to my eye balls with bills that I end up struggling to pay back.
IS this the way we want our children's to end up! Getting deeper and poorer into debt, where they will feel that there's no way out but to struggle all through their adult life.
Don't we now own it to then and to ourselves to start learning more about how our money can work for us?
Depending on our systems network to support us all financially is not a long term solution.
We all have our spending habits that the system will not be able to support. Why not start learning now and be prepared for the future ahead!
The news is full of our financial problems, the leadears are setting up huge bail-out moneys to help our country from this unforseen financial disaster.
Today we may get out of this problem, but the next credit crunch may be even worse, what are we going to do then? Your financial future is not yet set. Change it now, while you still have the time.
Thinking back to when I was young and pregnant with my first daughter, I did not have any support, financially, emotionally and physically I was going through it all alone.
My boyfriend just flat out told me that its my body, do whatever I want to do with it, meaning the decision was up to me whether I keep my baby or have an abortion. What a huge decision to be put on a 19 years old girl. With no support, no money, no job, no confident and nothing seems to be going the way I wish for. I had hit rock bottom, it was so much for me to take in, with a baby on the way, I saw no way out and at that one moment I wish I was not alive!
What a mentality for a mother to be experiencing but I manage to pick myself up, by the grace of GOD and a little bit of will power I came stronger.
After, I went on to get some help from the benefit office to see if they could help me out, which at that time I needed all the help I could get, with all the financial stress, emotional stress and I have not been taking care of myself that I fainted right there in front of everyone to see!
I got the help I needed, money to get by, my baby on the way and a new flat. My experience here should have made me think about learning on how to spend and invest my money but it was not to be until now 2009! Which is why I am relating my experience to our credit crunch problem. Money will always be needed, no matter who we are, what we are doing and what we are going through.
My question is will you now take the time to invest on yourself to find and learn the knowledge that you need to get out of the rat race! Before its too late and the next credit crunch is upon us.
